Globe Reactions.

I really do not have many. I guess the Sandra Bullock momentum is kind of hard to ignore right now, and how strange that Emily Blunt is nominated.... then again the Globes do seem to like her.
Sad to see Renner missing from the Actor line up, but it is kind of cool to have new names thrown in. I was terrified 'Precious' and Gabby would not be in the mix. I am so glad I was wrong about that snub.

However the most interesting thing is the TV categories. Yay to 'Modern Family' and 'Glee', but funny how the acting categories read like a who's who of Oscars past. Glenn Close, Anna Paquin, Toni Collette, Alec Baldwin, Joan Allen, Jessica Lange, Sigourney Weaver, Kenneth Branagh, Jeremy Irons, WIlliam Hurt, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, and Chloe Sevigny.

Is TV where all the great actors are?

I was sad to see Ronan snubbed for The Lovely Bones but really these Globe nominations are pretty good. Especially the supporting categories when they usually throw in some huge named stars in WTF roles...Like Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder last year.

I too thought Gabby would be snubbed but glad she wasn't. Can't wait to see the telecast, specially Gervais.

Great nominations though I'm saddened by the Ronan snub. The movie wasn't so great but Ronan totally pulled it off.

Also happy about Gabby. I thought she wasn't going to be nominated and am happy to see Precious get a BP nom as well. Oh! The Supporting Movie categories were fantastic as well. No WTF nominees like Tom Cruise last year.

The screenplay category is my favorite, only for the inclusion of District 9! But can't wait to see the telecast. Huge names and unknowns together while having Gervais make fun will be classic.
