Ridiculink

Here are some of the most interesting, funny and ridiculous stories in and around the interweb:

Chris Rock is going to remake 'Death and a Funeral'. ok, I am kind of all for remakes, but this movie is a year old. What's next? A remake of 'Revolutionary Road'? Next they will be remaking films just put into production. Come on Hollywood - Some originality please.

When you think about revenge, death, blood, and other nasty things you don't really think of Steven Spielberg, and you certainly do not think of Will Smith, but these two power houses are going to team up to remake 'Old Boy'.
Yes...that's right. 'Old Boy'. You know for shiz they are going to tone that shizzle (they will need a f*cking lot of toner).

Anne Thompson gets my quote of the week "The ratings board couldn't tell him anything to cut. The rating was for overall intensity."

Is it me, or does the freedom of blogging bring out the poet in Roger Ebert?

Gold Derby tackles those pesky 'Doubt' reviews ad well as taking a look at 'Best Actress'.

The Great Kate interview with Vanity Fair, was well as those fantastic pictures of an airbrushed Kate. Airbrush or no airbrush, scary ass "taking over the world' hair extensions or no scary ass "taking over the world' hair extensions, the woman is sexy as can be.
She talks candidly about not winning the holy grail of acting awards, which is always fun to hear.
If this her year? Well it could be, no one knows anything till the night.

Can Michael Winterbotton get her to act?

Good to see Freeman going back to comedy. He shone in 'Nurse Betty'.

IT HAD TO BE DONE!

And ending on a political note. The US election result was fantastic. I was so relieved and happy, then I looked at the breakdown of votes and saw that it was kind of close considering I thought it would have been a landslide in Obama's favor. With a complete idiotic train wreck that was Sarah Palin, how did McCain get so many votes? Is this an example of plain stupidity or racism?

Any who all that will becoming to a theater near us at some point.

If he got Angelina to act, I'm somewhat curious to see what he gets out of Alba.
I love Winterbottom's choices, he's like the indie(er?) Soderbergh and I know, Spielberg is to "Oldboy" what George W. Bush is to brains.
