This looks to be much better than the first offering. Still not sure I like Beyonce singing Etta, but I must say, what I can see of her acting she has learned a thing or two since her wooden and bland performance in 'Dreamgirls'. Not expecting this to make a slash at all on Awards Season (so important it need capitalization) but stranger things have happened. It needs great reviews, rabid fans and some fantastic performances.
As it stands now, no one is even having it on their radar.
Could be a good thing, or perhaps just tragic fore-shadowing?
